Who qualifies for membership?
To qualify for membership in the Garden City Eastern Property Owners Association, you must be a resident within the corporate limits of Garden City, east of the center of Franklin Avenue. "Resident" is any person over the age of 18 who maintains his/her principal residence in Garden City.
What are the benefits of membership?
As a member, you are helping to support your local representation in Garden City's governmental structure as set forth by the Community Agreement of 1919 (click here for information on how the Village government works). Membership is also useful if you wish to volunteer your time to the many boards, commissions and organizations within the Village. Finally, membership is required in order to vote for EPOA Directors and Officers and also to nominate and vote for members of the EPOA Nominating Committee, also known as the Seven Member Nominating Committee.
What do my dues pay for?
These fees help fund newsletters, post cards, special communications (as needed) and fund all EPOA polls and elections. They also allow you to vote for EPOA Directors and Officers at the annual EPOA public meeting in June.
