EPOA Meeting November 16 at 730 PM: Residents Invited to Town Hall to Meet 3 East Village Trustee Candidates
There will be a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, November 16, where Village residents may meet candidates from the East who have expressed interest in running for the position of Village Trustee.
Three candidates have submitted their statements of interest to the independent East Nominating Committee. All three have been invited to attend the Town Hall, introduce themselves to Village residents, outline their positions on Village issues, and answer questions from residents and nominating committee members. The three residents are Judy Courtney, Larry Marciano and Richard Williams.
The Town Hall will immediately follow a shortened EPOA meeting that begins at 7:30 pm in the Senior Center on Golf Club Lane.
As part of the EPOA’s mission to serve as a civic association and in anticipation of the holidays, the EPOA will be conducting a “sock drive” at its November 16 meeting. The EPOA would like to encourage all attendees to please bring at least one pair of socks (new socks only; greatest need is for black or dark-colored adult cotton socks) to the meeting. All donations will be delivered to The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) in Hempstead.
The EPOA encourages all residents to attend the public meeting and the Town Hall immediately following. Residents will hear updates on village and school issues from East Trustees, EPOA officers, and committee representatives and liaisons, to be followed by the Town Hall.
This is a great opportunity to meet Village Trustee candidates, make them aware of your concerns, and ask them questions on relevant issues. The EPOA looks forward to seeing as many residents as possible at the Town Hall.
