EPOA Postpones Annual Meeting; Nominating Committee Nominates Officers and Directors for 2020-2021

The Eastern Property Owners’ Association (EPOA) regrets to announce that we will not be able to hold our June 1 annual meeting as planned due to current COVID-19 restrictions. We will reschedule at a future time when public gatherings are once again allowed. Residents of the East should have recently received the EPOA spring newsletter, which contains updates from our president, trustees as well as other informative material.

The Director & Officer Nominating Committee of the Eastern Property Owners’ Association has nominated the following residents as officers and directors for 2020-2021:

EPOA Officers, for a term of one year: President: Steve Ilardi, 139 Meadow Street, Vice President: Jonathan Debrich, 90 Huntington Road, Corresponding Secretary: Paul Dircks, 62 Saint James Street, Corporate Secretary: Colleen Ciullo, 109 Huntington Road and Treasurer: Joe Courtade, 15 Kingsbury Road. 

EPOA Directors, for a term of three years: Andrew de Lannoy, 5 Maple Street. 

EPOA Directors, for a term of two years: Spiro Dorizas, 29 East Drive, Shane Pomeroy, 32 Boylston Street, June Michalak, 38 Spruce Street, Lauren Scarantino, 17 Chestnut Street. 

EPOA Directors, for a term of one year: Eric Breusch, 5 Beech Street, Jose Iudica, 50 Prescott Street. 

All named officers and directors are currently serving on the EPOA board, with the exception of Eric Breusch and Jose Iudica. Their biographies follow: 

Eric Breusch has 14 years of experience in the financial services industry and is currently a vice president of Citi Private Bank, specializing in private equity, real estate and hedge fund due diligence. Eric grew up in the eastern section of Garden City, where he met his wife Jillian while both were lifeguards at the GC pool. He attended the GC public schools through 8th grade, Chaminade HS and Loyola University Maryland for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration. After living out of state and in NYC for 10 years, Eric and Jillian moved back to GC to raise their family. 

Jose L. Iudica is a 10-year resident of Garden City, graduated from NYU’s Stern School of Business and holds an MBA in finance and banking from Hofstra University. A long-time employee of Prudential Financial, Jose is currently a vice president and head of the short-term funding desk. He also serves as president of the Commercial Paper Issuers Working Group. Within the GC community, Jose has served as co-leader of Cub Scout Pack 7 at Stewart School and has been both an intramural girls’ soccer coach and boys’ soccer coach, in addition to serving as a travel girls’ soccer coach.

All nominations were conducted in accordance with EPOA by-laws by the 2020 Director & Officer Nominating Committee. Members of the current Director and Officer Nominating Committee are Joe Moody (chair), Monica Kiely, Tom Mastanduono, Ken Moody, Bob Rymers, Bob Stark, Jr. and Ted Ucinski.

Election of EPOA Officers and Directors for the 2020-21 term will be held at our annual meeting.
