EPOA Meeting & Mayoral Candidates Debate January 20th
The East Nominating Committee also selected East School Trustee Robert Martin as its nominee to a second three-year term on the Board of Education. The vote was unanimous and Trustee Martin has not been challenged.
The EPOA, per its established procedures acting as a neutral facilitator, will run a primary election on Tuesday, February 3, from 4:30 pm to 9pm, at Stewart School, where resident electors of the East may vote for either Donnelly or Episcopia. Only residents of the East may vote in the primary. Details will be mailed by postcard to all households in the East, in addition to notices in the GC News, on the EPOA website and in the e-Bulletin.
The winner of the primary will be the candidate for mayor of the Community Agreement Party in the March 18 village elections.
After the debate, the regular EPOA meeting agenda will continue. There will be reports from EPOA president Christine Mullaney, vice president Joe Moody, treasurer Sal Norberto, East recreation representative Ken Moody, library trustee Charlie Murphy, and school trustee Bob Martin. In addition, village trustees Donnelly and Episcopia will give their regular updates, if not already covered in the town hall.
