Resolution 1:

The Eastern Property Owners’ Association supports in full the official statement of Trustee Richard Silver, made at the February 17 Board of Trustees meeting, regarding the controversy surrounding the sale of the Franklin Court village property, in particular that all options are on the table from the perspective of the village to reach an appropriate solution, and that the village board agrees to enhance the notice procedures to assure greater transparency in any future proposed sale of village-owned properties. We assume that all options includes a possible buyback of the property by the village.

As stated previously, we sincerely hope that the Village, the Franklin Court Mews owners and their Franklin Court neighbors settle this dispute quickly and amicably. We also urge that promised procedures for increased transparency be instituted promptly by the Board of Trustees.

Resolution 2:

The Eastern Property Owners’ Association supports the request of resident Tara Miner to display a menorah on village property, along with the crèche, during the winter holiday season.
