Installation of New Glen Cove Road Bridge Happening This Weekend - Friday, June 26th through Monday, June 29th

Beginning 8:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday June 26th, through 4:00 a.m. Monday, June 29th, crews will be conducting work on the Glen Cove Road Bridge Replacement Project. As a result, during this period Glen Cove Road will close to thru traffic between Old Country Road and Westbury Avenue while the existing bridge is removed and a newly-built three bay structure is installed.
To allow this work to proceed, the LIRR will suspend train service between Hicksville and Mineola on the weekend of June 27-28. Accordingly, there will be NO weekend train service at Carle Place and Westbury Stations, and major changes will be in effect on the Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma branches.
