On Tuesday, November 11, 2014, a special public service presentation, jointly sponsored by the four Property Owners' Associations of Garden City, will include guest speakers John F. Collins, President and CEO of Winthrop-University Hospital, and Dr. Michael Ammazzalorso, Winthrop’s Chief Medical Officer. Mr. Collins and Dr. Ammazzalorso will speak to residents about Winthrop’s overall Ebola preparedness, protocols for screening individuals who come to the hospital, either at the emergency room or for elective procedures, employee training, details of the hospital’s isolation unit, as well as county-wide preparations.

 

The meeting will be held in the lower level conference room of the Garden City Public Library and is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.

 

Priority will be given to Garden City residents. Proof of residency may be required. Non-residents will be accommodated on a space available basis.

The Library will be open for this special meeting but will be closed for business.
